About the Speaker: Alex Todd
Alex is a pioneering FinTech executive and entrepreneur, focused on: payment innovations; exposing breakthrough business and societal value from disruptive technologies, such as blockchain; and innovations in corporate governance and stakesholder trust praactices. He has held senior leadership roles with such companies as PRESTO, a Metrolinx company and IBM as well as founding entrprenerial ventures.
Alex is in the process of launching a social enterprise, called Trust2Pay, that will use blockchain technology to help 5 billion working age people prosper with easier access to financial resources by recording their daily social contracts as digital promises (IOUs) in order to generate a Social Credit Score that they can use as an indicator of worthiness and employability. He s also working on ScoalXchange, a Facebook MEssenger chat box taht facilitates collaboration between residents and local merchants around community causes, is being piloted in Liberty Village this spring.
