About the Speaker: Roy Kim
Roy’s presentation, titled, “Big Data Analytics from Cloud to Mobile“ will share the knowledge and experiences he acquired while building custom solutions and hopes to encourage insightful discussions with the audience. He will walk-through his solution and how it obtains job posting data from jobs web sites which is then processed through Azure Batch, Azure Data Lake, Azure HDInsight (Hadoop), SQL Azure and then visualized in Power BI reports.
Roy is an independent consultant with focus on Microsoft SharePoint, Business Intelligence and Azure space. He holds roles as a developer, solutions architect, technical advisor and all round consultant for clients. He holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Toronto and a fan of Tesla and SpaceX.
